Do you offer sliding scale?
I do not offer sliding scale services, though many clients choose to offset their out of pocket cost by using their HSA or FSA to pay for sessions, or to request reimbursement from their insurance provider via a Superbill. I am happy to provide a Superbill billing statement within one week of a request from any client.
HSA, FSA, and Superbills can only be used for Psychotherapy; not Life Coaching as they require a clinical diagnosis to be submitted to the insurance company.
Can I use my insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. This means that I cannot bill your insurance company, but I am happy to provide you with paperwork that you may submit for reimbursement from your insurance company. Always check with your insurance company about their stipulations around reimbursement. My receipt of your sessions and fees is no guarantee of their policies.

I know I've seen you somewhere before...are sessions confidential?
I take the privacy of every one of my clients very seriously. While it is probable that we will run into one another "out in the world", I will never acknowledge our therapeutic relationship in any public space without your express invitation and permission.
I've been an active part of the Mission District and San Francisco at large for the past decade. It's highly likely that we've met at events, shows, or even on the dance floor.
Sessions are always confidential, my voicemail line is confidential, and all email correspondence is kept confidential to the extent with which we can reasonably expect electronic communication to be confidential.
